Rio de Janeiro, May 7 (IANS): Real Madrid midfielder Kaka said he wants to remain at the Bernabeu next season.
The 30-year-old Brazilian has been a bit-part player under Jose Mourinho in recent months and reports have linked him with a move to big-spending Paris Saint-Germain next season, reported Xinhua.
But in an interview on Brazilian television Sunday, Kaka said he felt invigorated by the challenge of winning back his place as a regular starter for the Spanish football club.
"It's something new for me," Kaka told TV Globo. "I'm happy about winning the (Spanish) league but it's different to what I'm used to."
"It gives me more motivation to try to overcome a new challenge."
When asked about a possible move away from the Bernabeu, Kaka replied: "I would like to stay at Real. I have three more years on my contract."
The former FIFA world player of the year also revealed he is still suffering from his missed penalty against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final last month.
"It's something that I'm going to carry with me for the rest of my life," Kaka said.
