Dubai, May 6: Music plays an important role in every one’s life and dance is part of the music which provides total entertainment and both are closely connected. The one who enjoys music lives longer. But to enjoy that music we need musicians and dancers. With this motive, the grand Inaugural function of Mudra, the centre for performing arts took place at the Al Attar Shopping Centre, Karama in Dubai. The function began at 11.00am with a prayer song / Bhajan by the students of the institute.
Shashidhar Surathkal welcomed the gathering and called dignitaries Sarvotham Shetty (President, Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi, Lokesh Puthran, (President, Mogaveers), U.A.E.), Premendra Prasad (Music producer/director, Kerala), Vinod Kumar, (Sr. Student Mudra) and Shodhan Prasad, (Social Worker and representative of Namma Tuluveru, UAE) on to the dais to grace the function. Sarvotham Shetty inaugurated the institution symbolically by lighting the lamp along with all other dignitaries who lighted the lamp respectively. Flower bouquets were presented to all the dignitaries and the main guests present. Sarvotham Shetty wished the success to the institute and the organizers with his humorous speech. Lokesh Puthran in his speech explained about the connection with the God through music and yoga. He also explained the importance of music and dances in life to keep ourselves happy and connected with The Almighty. Premendra and Shodhan Prasad wished the young dynamic partners of the institution all the success.
The partners of the institution are the professionals in the field of dance and music.
Students of the institute performed dances and entertained the gathering. During the occasion teachers of the institution Urmila, Raghupathi, Prabha & Das were also honoured.
The owner of the institute Vadiraj Uppor proposed vote of thanks and requested the audience for the cooperation for the growth the institution. Snacks were provided to all those present for the inaugural function.
Mudra Music & Dance Institute are ready to cater Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Manipuri, Salsa, Bollywood Dances, Ballroom, Jive, Tango, Western, Contemporary and Hip Hop in their dance classes and their vocal classes will include Carnatic and Hindustani while instrumentals will include Keyboard, Guitar, Piano and Flute. Additionally there will be Art and Craft and specially Yoga will be taught.
The institute will also undertake choreography for weddings, stage shows, corporate events, concerts and school events.
