Ramdev Remark Angers MPs

New Delhi, May 3 (IANS): As Ramdev stoked a controversy calling MPs "dacoits and murderers", RJD chief Lalu Prasad Wednesday termed these as the utterings of a frustrated man while Congress member Jagdambika Pal and Samajwadi Party legislator Shailendra Kumar said they will move a breach of privilege motion against the yoga guru in the Lok Sabha.

"Baba Ramdev is frustrated. Whosoever speaks like this, is frustrated. He is a mental case," Lalu Prasad said.

Raising the issue in the Lok Sabha, SP leader Shailendra Kumar demanded action against those making derogatory remarks against MPs.

"The dignity of parliament is being lowered at public rallies," he said but did not submit a privilege notice, according to sources.

Congress MP Jagdambika Pal also said he had served a breach of privilege notice against Ramdev.

P.C. Chacko, who was in the chair, said breach of privilege notices were under consideration of the Speaker. "Please wait for a decision," he said.

Ramdev, addressing the media while launching his month-long yatra in Chhattisgarh's Durg area Tuesday, said, MPs "are those people who don't care, don't love the farmers, the labourers or the people of this country.

"They are friends and slaves of money. They are illiterate, dacoits and murderers. They are devils in the form of humans, who we have elected to those posts," Ramdev said.

The yoga guru also said there were good people among the parliamentarians and he respected them.

What Ramdev has said is truth and truth is always bitter. Majority of the elected representatives are corrupt and looters. Look at some of the MPs and MLAs, their wealth has grown many folds whist they are in office...Mayawati is sending chartered plane to Mumbai to fetch a pair of shoes for her!!!
Sharad Pawar is multi billionaire and his greed for wealth has not stopped....Lalu has amassed wealth in fodder scam...Bofors gave a lift to the Gandhi family. CWG made Kalmadi rich. 2G made A Raja billionaire...Where is accountability...Common man, students and youths should come out on the street and change the political system..These politicians must be made accountable...Our constitution and parliamentary system failed bitterly...We need electoral reforms. We should be given the right to impeach our elected representative and recall them should they fail...We dont need leaders who make illegal wealth at the expense of their voters...We dont need them to make rules and laws for us...We need national referrundum so that these corrupt politicians are sent to jail/gallows.We need a reform law that states that no man can hold a parliamentary or assembly position for more than two terms in ones life time...We dont need law makers like Hosni Mubarak, Gadaffi, Assad etc...This is the high time that we bring about changes for a better future and for a clean administration...Today most of the political leaders are being hated and looked down... They are an outcaste people who have misused the system to make money for themselves and for their family members....Death to the looters of national wealth...Jai Jawan and Jai Kisan... we need this slogan to be echoed again and again. We need reformers like JP..
We need kranti, we need change. absolute change nothing but change...Good luck to all those who standup against corruption and corrupt practices....
