Ghaziabad, May 2 (IANS): A court Wednesday rejected the bail plea of dentist Nupur Talwar, an accused in the murder of her daughter Aarushi in 2008, saying she could flee from justice.
Sessions and special CBI judge S. Lal had Tuesday reserved his order on the bail request.
Lal observed that it would be in the interest of justice to keep her in jail because she could otherwise flee.
"Her past record (of) evading court appearance indicates she can flee. She can tamper with evidence as the closure report of CBI had indicated that the Talwars had dressed up the crime scene," he said.
"So there is an apprehension of tampering with evidence," said the judge.
