Dubai, Apr 25 : Fans of Wilfy Rebimbus spread across UAE will surely miss him on Friday, April 27 at Al Nasr Leisureland, where his troupe will present 'Wilfy Nite'. But his legacy will continue, his songs will continue to touch hearts of his fans, said Meena Rebimbus on her arrival along with the entire 'Wilfy Nite' troupe at Dubai International airport on Tuesday April 24 night.
SMKC is organising this event to mark its decennial celebration.
"We will miss him dearly, but he is with us in spirit wherever we go, whatever we do. We were able to put up scintillating shows in Doha, Mumbai and Mangalore recently. We are sure Dubai show too will be a great success," said Meena Rebimbus who is leading the team which is continuing and keeping Wilfy's legacy alive.

Wilfy's singer children daughter Veena Rebimbus and son Vishwas Rebimbus are also part of the troupe.
"People of UAE have always bestowed their love on us. They prayed and consoled us during our difficult times, and now its our duty to give them back what they are looking for from Wilfy's lyrics and tunes. SMKC being a pioneer organisation in the UAE is organising the show, and we are fully prepared and just looking forward to the D-day," Meena said.
SMKC president Veronica Rego along with her team members were present at the airport to receive the artistes.
"We are overwhelmed by the response for the show, people are eagerly waiting to witness this historical Wilfy Nite," said Veronica Rego.
Noel and Jennifer Mascarenhas, the mentors of SMKC instrumental in taking the organisation to the top and making it a leading association not only in the UAE but also in the Middle East, were present at the airport.
"Our aim is not only to provide entertainment but to reach out to the needy people as usual. We have been doing this for the last ten years and God has blessed us in supporting such kind of events through SMKC," said Noel Mascarenhas, who is also the founder president of SMKC.
The troupe is also accompanied by well-known veteran artistes Prem Kumar and Claud D'Souza who will entertain the crowd with fast numbers from Wilfy's composition.
Charming and young Babita Pinto with her melodious voice is expected to enthrall audience in her unique style.
Wilfy Nite will be a mixture of the legend's old and new compositions, so the audience of all age groups will be entertained. Apart from Wilfy's compositions, the Nite will include the latest compositions of Vishwas and Veena Rebimbus.
"We are trying to follow in the footsteps of our Dad. We have penned lyrics and composed tunes. Our latest volumes of audio albums included the new songs, and we have been getting good response for the same. We would like to present those songs before the audience here," said Veena Rebimbus who is based in Doha, and who also arrived on Tuesday night to join the troupe.
To add more spice to the show, top comedy duo from Mangalore - veteran Dolla and senior artiste Melwyn (Mellu) - will delight the crowd with humour.
The show will be compered by its regular compere Leslie Rego, who has huge experience in handling such big shows, and who has also compered several Wilfy Nite shows in India and abroad with his unique style and charming presentation.
Jovin and Pappan, the two great music maestros, backbone of Wilfy Nites over the years, will direct the music for the entire show.
Locals artistes Ramiro, Arun Carlo and Rathan Castelino will also perform.
Organisers have obtained special permission from the Tourism department to open the gates at 4.30 pm and to start the programme at 5.30 pm. Bus arrangements has been made for drop off after the show to Al Quoz and Sonapur area.
