Dubai, Apr 22: The Middle East and Indian Regional Campuses of the Madonna University and the City of London College in association with the London American City College (LACC) conducted its 9th Graduation Ceremony 2012 at the Jumeira Ball Room, Crown Plaza Hotel in Dubai.
The ceremony started with the graduation march past followed by the UAE National Anthem. Dr Kaup Mohamed, (who hails from Kaup, Udupi District) the Dean and Director of the Middle East and Indian Regional Campuses welcomed the distinguished guests from the Universities, Dr Paulson Mathew Chunkapura, the president and director of LACC gave presidential address to the students and several distinguished guests from the industries, many academicians, faculty members, other staff members, parents and students were present for the function.
The Madonna University is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, USA and is one of the Top ranking American Universities as per the US News and World Report, 2012 Edition. Dr Paulson Mathew, the President of the LACC said that, "while other universities produce graduates, the LACC produces global leaders and star managers. LACC students have clear edge over others as they are holding a top ranking American degree, which is recognised worldwide and can easily migrate to any part of the world and can easily get challenging jobs in global corporations.
Dr Kaup Mohamed said that, “Paradigm shift and change management strategies are essential components of a unique pedagogy in education.” Dr Kaup further said that,“Planning career means first acquiring the competencies relevant for the desired career path. No competency means, there is no career for the people. Application of the theoretical concept in the industry will enable our students to gain competencies in the industrial career.”
Julie and Jaishu, the Senior lecturers also addressed the gathering. From the student community, Malini Mathew, Miss. Samina and Mr. Sailesh Nair from Bachelor’s Degree Program and Jenny Elizabeth Anil of the MBA Degree program addressed the gathering. Around 500 students received their qualifications at the 9th graduation ceremony and many of the students were from India, Pakistan, Bangaladesh, and other 15 countries. Several students received their Dean’s list letters, student academic excellence award and medal for academic achievement were also conferred to the bachelor’s degree students who have scored highest honours, high honors and honours and to the MBA students who scored high CGPAs.
The Medal for Academic Achievement was also conferred on the student who scored the highest in the first year, 2nd year and for the students of the PGDMS progra Several students were also given students leadership and exemplary services awards. Student excellence awards was also conferred to our students for excelling in intercollegiate event. Faculties and staff members were also given appreciation award.
