Mangalore, Apr 1: Preediv Art Gallery organized ‘Inner Aesthetic Outer Metaphysic’, a solo exhibition by contemporary art works by K P Shenoy, a well-known artist. The exhibition was inaugurated on Saturday March 31 at 5.30 pm by Elias Fernandes, director, Four Winds Mass communication.
Shenoy’s current works explore the mystic paradigm which moves from realistic, semi realistic, impressionistic and surrealistic to abstract expressionism. He is a self taught artist who won a number of awards and honours like the Kerala Lalit Kala Academy Award.
He is also an eminent art critic and has published a number of articles in several newspapers. His articles, on art and artist of west and east have appeared on several well known media. He has also trained a number of school and college students on collage art works by conducting free workshops.
Different mediums of art sculptors, paintings, reliefs and collages are exhibited. More than 200 unusual art works are on display at the gallery.
M Mukunda Prabhu, retired professor and renowned writer, Mangalore was the chief guest.
The exhibiton will remain open from April 2 to May 2 between 10 am and 6 pm for the general public. The gallery will remain closed on Sundays.
