Bangalore: Lawyers Assault Police Constables in Magistrate Court Premises

Bangalore, Mar 27 (PTI): A group of lawyers allegedly physically assaulted two police personnel, including a woman constable, in the city magistrate court premises here today, police said.

The incident took place when the the two constables were producing an accused before the court in a dowry harassment case, police said, adding the attack was purportedly unprovoked.

A complaint was filed and an FIR registered against 10 to 12 lawyers and one of them has already been identified, they said. This is the second such incident this month. On Mar 2, 65 persons, including 52 police personnel, were injured when lawyers went on a rampage, protesting the presence of mediapersons to cover the appearance of former Minister and mining baron Janardhan Reddy in a mining case in the city civil court complex.

How can there be LAW AND ORDER in this city or country when lawyers fight and injure policemen and even a police woman. It is a shame. That too inside the city magistrate court premises. The picture itself shows the brutality of the attack.I have policemen beating up innocent people but this was the other way.

This clear shows "There is No Law & Order, Justice" in the state. At some places like M'lore they instigated & were watching when innocent people were beaten. Now they are being beaten, who's next ..... so that, our Authorities who has to do their job of protecting the innocent Citizens will do it honestly.
I have mentioned earlier that, we are breeding anti social elements like "Taleban" in our state. This will continue unless proper "Law & Order" maintained in the state.

Dear commentator's...please don't bring in politics here. Almost all our minister's or law maker's are sleeping when they have to take action. May be it's Veerappa Moily or Suresh Kumar. Almost all politician's belong to this sleeping category. But nice to see that some politician's are working for the people.

You can not put these lawyers behind the bars because they have their own BAR association. They can come in and go out of that bar as they wish. No one can stop them.
May be but I am not sure...they were having the anticipatory bail when they beat police. Karnataka government will creat a enquiry commission of ex-MLA's(they also need to have some job)to find out the facts and they will find out that one congress MLA hypnotized these lawyers and made them beat the police to creat problems in law and order system in Bangalore with a clean chit to Lawyers and Policemen.

It means all those Lawyers (I believe) need one more test on their Indian Law Knowledge to prove that they are indeed so called “Lawyers”. Time has come to give it back with much respect to Lawyers from Police Personnel but without media coverage so that these Lawyers can understand who more powerful and real “Goondas” is

I am sure something else is cooking bw police n lawyers. Why can't both parties sit together to sort out differences. Hitting lady officer is totally uneceptable. This type of incidents are not healthy Minister Suresh Kumar has failed deliberately. I think only Veerappa Moily can bring consensus between two partys. Public has forgotten the fact that there is a govt in Karnataka which is busy in fighting with each other n they dont have time for others. Ramarajya?

This is too much.Advocates going beyond "LAXMANA REKHA" is height of stupidity and foolishness.Govt should take this misunderstandings between two important branches of democracy very serious and put an end to it.What is Home Minister doing? What is Law Minister doing? Finally why CM is not serious about these serious sensational issues. If these foolishness transforms in to chain of reactions then Govt has to answer.
