Moodbidri: Alternative Nobel Prize Winner Hans Peter Durr Visits Alva's Institutions

Moodbidri, Mar 12: Hans Peter Durr, former executive director, Max Planck Institute, Germany, who specializes in nuclear and quantum physics, the winner of the Alternative Nobel Prize, the Right Livelihood Award in 1987 for founding the Global Challenges Network, a world peace initiative to counter the Star Wars programme and achieve social justice and peace, paid a visit to Alva's Institutions on Sunday March 11.

Durr appreciated the educational services, social welfare activities, literary, cultural, and sports events that are promoted by Alva’s Education Foundation. He also addressed the students on the occasion.
 
Manipal University former vice-chancellor Dr B M Hegde, Alva’s College principal Professor Kurian, Alva’s Education Foundation trustee Vivek Alva, Lucknow University vice-chancellor Chooramani Gopal, Jayaram Shetty, and administrator Smita P Aithal were present.
 
Alva’s College lecturer Deepa Kottari compered the programme.
