Abu Dhabi: Free Heart Surgeries Camp for Poor in Sharjah


Abu Dhabi, Mar 10 (IANS/WAM): A week-long camp in Sharjah will offer free heart surgeries for poor patients who don't have insurance coverage and are not eligible for free treatment at government hospitals.

The camp that commences from this Sunday onwards will be held under the supervision of the Emirati Humanitarian Initiative to provide free treatment for one million poor children and elderly people.

According to Arif Al Nooriyani, executive director of the Al Qasimi Hospital, this effort is being implemented by the Zayed Giving Initiative in association with the UAE Ministry of Health represented by the Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah and will benefit children and geriatric patients suffering from cardiac disorders.
