Moodbidri, Mar 6: Third Akhila Karnataka Beladingala Sahitya Samelana being sponsored by Shree Educational Institute, Moobidri, will be held at Gomateshwara Betta, Karkala, from 6 pm on Thursday March 8, to 6 am on Friday March 9. This was stated by Akhila Bharata Beladingala Sahitya Sammelana Samiti, Moobidri.
The Samiti has M K Vijay Kumar, Kartik Gowda, and Dr Santosh Shetty as its honorary presidents, and Shekar Ajekar as president.
The Sammelana will be presided over by renowned Kannada writer and activist, Jayanth Kaikini. Dr Na Mogasale, Kantavara, will inaugurate the Sammelana. Pangala Vilas Nayak, who heads Hanuman Motors, will preside over the inaugural. Kasargod Chinna, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, and K S Imtiaz Ahmed, president, KMES educational institutions, will participate as guests.
Karkala-based advocate, M K Vijay Kumar, will deliver the keynote address.
The awards function will be chaired by Dr Yashovarma, principal, SDM College Ujire. SCDCC Bank president, M N Rajendra Kumar, will hand over awards. M Ramachandra of Sahitya Sangha Karkala, Umanath Kotian, president, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, Beluvai Sadananda Shetty, president of Dakshina Kannada district Kambala Samiti, and Ashfaq Ahmed, Muslim Jamaat leader from Karkala, will participate as guests. K P Shenoy, social worker from Karkala, will deliver keynote address.

Bala Pratibhotsava and Bala Pratibha Honours:
At 6.30 pm, Ayana V Raman, multi-talented girl from Moodbidri, Shweta Moodbidri, talented dancer from Moodbidri, Vijet Ullal, singer, Abhishek M B Mangalore, flautist, Krishnaprasad Mangalore, fluautist, and Ananya Rai Mangalore, gifted dancer, will be conferred with Bala Pratibha honours. As part of Bala Pratibhotsava, on the spot competitions will be held at 2 am.
A women’s conference to be held at 9 pm will be presided over by Savitri Manohar. Prof Narayana Shedikaje, Vanita Shetty, and Jyoti Padmanabha Bhandi will speak. Jyoti Sunil Kumar Shetty, Vrinda Hariprakash Shetty, and Anil Lobo Moodbidri will participate as guests.
At the stroke of midnight, a poets’ conference will be organized. It will be chaired by ‘Muddana Kavya’ award-winning poet, Dhananjaya Kumble. Ganesh Prasad Pandelu, journalist from Manipal, will participate as guest. Tens of poets from all over the state will take part.
The Yuva Goshti to be held at 1 am, will be presided over by Vivek Nambiar, renowned media scholar. Adarsha Gokhale Karkala, Borgalgudde Manjunath, Nitte, and Shreyank Ranade Konaje will speak on the occasion. Suvrut Kumar Karkala, Yatish Kalya, president of Karkala taluk Yuvajana Okkoota, and Prakash Kabettu, movie director, will be guests of this programme.
The honour under the category of novels will be conferred for ‘Chimburi’ authored by Masuma Karkala.
From 4 am to 6 am, the programme, ‘Yaksha-gana Ashu Vaibhava’, in which a single person will don several roles, will be held. Radakrishna Kalchar and Harish Bolantamogaru will be in action, supported by Puttur Ramesh Bhat in the background support, Ananda Devadiga on Maddale, and Radhakrishna Kamath Karkala on Chende. ‘Yaksha Sangeeta’, a programme of Kannada songs in Yakshagana Tenkutittu style will also be presented on this occasion.
