Bhatkal, Mar 5: Maulana Abul Kalam Azad brings revolution and played significant role to give independence to India by his Urdu speeches and Urdu writings, said Dr. Syed Abdul Bari, retired professor and head of department of Urdu Awadh University, Faizabad, UP. He was addressing key note during a one day National level Urdu Seminar which was held here in Anjuman Abad, Bhatkal on Sunday March 4 with the theme of 'Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's Life and Contribution' which was organized by Anjuman Degree College and P G Center, Bhatkal.
Speaking at the seminar Dr KV Nakulan, department of Urdu SS University of Sanskrit Quilandy, Calicut, Kerala said Bhat Urdu speaking or Urdu understanding people are found every part of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, so he described as Urdu is highest speaking language in India. He said that Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was pioneers in National integration and who was the pioneers of Urdu. Dr S M Aqueel, prof and chairman department of Urdu Kuvempu University, Shimoga said that Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's role on education was unforgettable. Dr S A Sirgiro, retired prof dept of Urdu Karnataka University, Dharwad, was also addressed the gathering.
The programme was begins with the recitation of Quran by Nadeem Qausain, college principal Dr KC Nazeer Ahmed Welcomed, HOD Urdu Dr. Shah Rashad Usmani given introduction of guests, general Secretary of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal Jukaku Abdul Raheem given inaugural speech and preview of the seminar.
Kashimji Muhammed Ansar and Ismail Hassan Damudi presided over the function of first session and second session respectively. Prof MM Jamadar delivered the vote of thanks.
