Udupi, Mar 5: “There have not been many changes in human beings since Vedic times. Lust and anger are the evils that can be restrained by seeking spirituality. Religious worship centers inspire religiousness. ‘Kaliyug’ has been significant in all Vedic eras since everyone can aspire to lead a dignified life regardless of caste, colour, religion, and gender differences. Kaliyug is an era of equality,” said Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
He was speaking during the religious discourse held at Vishnumurti Temple, Shirva, on Saturday March 3.
“Elders in the coastal district were instilling human virtues and spirituality by enacting the mythological episodes through Yakshagana, dramas, and preaching.
