Abu Dhabi, Feb 25 (IANS/WAM) Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) announced Saturday launching of a campaign as part of their ongoing educational and awareness programmes to educate children about food safety methods.
The campaign titled "Zadna" comes in line with ADFCA's hope that food safety is a shared responsibility that requires positive interaction and active participation by all sections of the community.
The objective is to produce a cartoon series that involve several characters of different nationalities that come together on a field trip to the 'Heritage Village'.
During their trip, the children will be told good and bad eating habits, checking expiry dates, food contamination and the effects of additives.
All the food tips are being disseminated through a comic, easy to grasp program that comprises 15 episodes targeting children from the age group of 5-10 years.
