Udupi, Feb 24: The meeting of likely victims of highway widening work who are residing along the Kundapur to Hejamady National Highway 66 was held at Shyamili Hall, Ambalapady, on Thursday February 23.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Raj Yermal said that out of 180 cases filed by likely victims with the divisional bench, 117 were solved. This information was obtained under Right to Information Act two weeks ago. National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) agreed of a few lapses in the highway broadening work, he said.
He added that the issue will be taken up by filing a petition with the Supreme Court.
Sudhir Hegde, Nityanand Shetty, and Ratna Kumar were among the 70-odd people who were present during the meeting.
