Sullia: Circle Inspector’s Suspension Revoked

Sullia, Feb 11: Suspension placed on local circle inspector, Taranath, in connection with stoning of police station and arrest of some local BJP leaders, has been lifted.

Sources said that Taranath has simultaneously been transferred to Chikmagalur. Chikmagalur circle inspector, Sudarshan, will occupy the seat vacated by Taranath.

It may be recalled that policemen and some BJP leaders were injured during stone pelting incident which followed the policemen’s efforts to send away a couple belonging to different religions caught by Hindu activists, without filing any cases. Relating to the incident, several BJP leaders were arrested from their homes overnight. Some BJP leaders had charged the policemen of highhandedness, inhuman behaviour, and torture. On the basis of a report submitted by the additional director general of police, sub-inspector, Ravikumar, and circle inspector, Taranath, had been suspended.

    Even a ordinary BJP member thinks he is above the law.i think its high time party bosses tell their people if u do wrong no one will bail u think before u act.all will fall in line.police need to protect every citizen not only BJP.after BJP govt come in power even an ordinary jobless loafers act smart.
