Mumbai, Jan 11: Tiku Talsania, the beloved actor renowned for his comic roles in films such as Andaz Apna Apna, has suffered a massive heart attack and is currently in critical condition at the age of 70. According to reports from Telly Chakkar, Talsania’s health remains critical, though no further details have been disclosed by his friends or family at this time.
Last year, Talsania reflected on his memorable experience working with the legendary filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, shedding light on Bhatt's distinctive, often spontaneous filmmaking techniques.
Talsania, famous for his roles in '90s hits like Coolie No 1 and Jodi No 1, recalled a moment when Bhatt's creative instincts left him speechless. In a memorable shoot, Bhatt turned to Talsania and asked, "Tu bata camera kaha lagana hai?" (You tell me where to place the camera). Although initially surprised, Talsania suggested a location, only to hear Bhatt respond, "Yahi toh lagana tha mujhe" (This is exactly where I wanted to place it).
Talsania also shared anecdotes about Bhatt's knack for making last-minute decisions that could drastically alter the course of a film. In one instance, Bhatt cast Talsania on a whim, simply telling him, "You are doing this role," when they met. "I had no idea what role he was talking about," Talsania recalled, showcasing Bhatt's instinctual approach to casting and storytelling.
Talsania's most recent appearance was in Vaar Tahevaar, a film directed and written by Chinmay Purohit. In an interview with Etimes, Talsania expressed his excitement about the project, praising its well-crafted script. "The script of Vaar Tahevaar is wonderful, thanks to Chinmay Purohit, who is also the director," said Talsania. He plays a joyful, carefree father dreaming of his daughter’s happily-ever-after, a character every father can resonate with.
