Mangalore, Jan 31: Allegations and counter-allegations have reached a peak after Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat's speech at 'Hindu Samajotsava' at Uppinangady on January 22.
Various politcal parties, including main opposition Congress, have expressed their ire with protests in Mangalore, Udupi, Bantwal and other places.
If the administration has blamed both the parties for the incident, BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders including district incharge minister Krishna Palemar have defended Dr Bhat's speech, and claimed that there was 'nothing provocative' in his speech. In fact, Palemar hailed the speech as 'warning and guidance to the Hindu society'.
State home minister has assured that, after verifying the audio speech action will be taken accordingly.
But sources told daijiworld told that the matter is in the state government's hand, and CM Sadananda Gowda, who hails from the region, has a tough decision to make. Both parties have placed the issue in detail before the police as well as the government. One may also recall the suspension orders issued against some police officers after an incident that happened in Sullia earlier this year.
