Dubai, Apr 26: With the aim of promoting Kannada language literacy among the younger generation of non-resident Kannadigas, ‘Kannada Mitraru UAE’ has been running the ‘Kannada Paatha Shaale Dubai’, an initiative led by Shashidhar Nagarajappa and 60 volunteers, for the past 11 years. It has now grown to become the world's largest Kannada language school outside Karnataka, currently imparting Kannada education to 1,250 children in Dubai. This school is run by 60 volunteers and 20 teachers who work without any renumeration since 2014 .
