Mangaluru, Apr 25: A case has been registered against the Facebook page named ‘Nichchu Mangaluru’ for allegedly justifying the recent brutal massacre at Pahalgam. The FIR has been filed at the Konaje police station based on a complaint submitted by Satish Kumar from Ullal.

According to police sources, the complaint has been registered under BNS Sections 192 and 353(1)(b). Authorities are currently trying to identify and trace the individual featured in the display picture (DP) of the said Facebook page.

The accused, believed to be a resident of the Konaje police station limits, had allegedly posted content justifying the barbaric act committed by terrorists in Pahalgam. The post claimed that the killings were a reaction to a past incident in Palghar, Maharashtra in 2023, where three Muslims were reportedly killed but the accused, Chetan Singh, was not publicly punished. The Facebook post suggested that the Pahalgam massacre was carried out on the basis of religion as a form of retaliation for the Palghar incident.

The justification of such extremist violence on a public platform has triggered widespread outrage on social media.

Police investigations are underway, and efforts are being made to identify and locate the person operating the ‘Nichchu Mangaluru’ page.

it is definitely not right to glorify any kind of terrorist or gruesome acts that are against humanity..we all should stand with the victims of the massacre at this point in time...
