Bengaluru, Apr 7: A new chapter of Karnataka’s technological excellence has been illuminated with the stunning permanent lighting of the Vidhana Soudha — all designed, developed, and manufactured entirely within the state.
A special highlight is that the entire lighting system has been executed by Leksa Lighting, a renowned and unique lighting system manufacturer based in Moodbidri, Mangalore. Known for their cutting-edge eco-friendly solutions, Leksa Lighting implemented the project using advanced LED technology.

















Chief minister Siddramaiah declared the spectacle open to public at a formal event held in Vidhana Soudha.
Lauding Ronald Silvan D'Souza, the founder and executive director of Leksa Lighting Technologies Pvt Ltd, for his entrepreneurship and contributions to the relevant industry and society at large, CM Siddaramaiah said the government was proud to have Leksa Lighting, which was started on Kannada soil. He also highlighted that 99% of the employees of the firm are Kannadigas, emphasizing that inviting Leksa Lighting is a tribute to the young engineers.
He further praised the promptness and excellence of the firm.
The new lighting system features 1,063 eco-friendly LED lights strategically installed on all four sides of the Vidhana Soudha, Karnataka’s iconic seat of power. These lights are capable of producing millions of color combinations and are controlled through an advanced system using signals and timers, offering dynamic displays to suit various occasions and moods.
Leksa Lighting, a proud Karnataka-based company, has an impressive track record, having successfully completed over 700 high-end permanent lighting projects across the globe. Their notable projects include the Ayodhya Dham, Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, Gateway of India, over 100 major railway stations, prominent temples, TV studios, and renowned auditoriums.
The new lighting at the Vidhana Soudha stands as a glowing testament to Karnataka’s innovation and sustainable technological prowess, and to the spirit of local enterprise making a mark at global levels.
