Udupi, Apr 7: Jnana Sudha Educational Trust held the Punarprathishta and Nagamadlotsava of Nagabrahma and Raktheshwari Kshetra at the Jnana Sudha Institution Nagabhana Campus, Kadiyali, on April 6.

The Trust has been worshipping Nagabrahma and Raktheshwari since time immemorial. The shrine was renovated by the Jnana Sudha Educational Trust, families, and residents under the guidance of Narayan Bhat Renjal. The installation of Nagabrahma, Sri Raktheshwari, and the Naga Brahma Mandala Utsava was conducted by Vedamoorthi Ramakrishna Tantry.

Religious rituals began at 7 am with Ganapathi Homa and Pratishtha Homa, followed by the installation of Sri Nagabrahma and Raktheshwari, Panchamrutha Abhisheka, Kalashabhisheka, Kalpoktha Pooja, Prasanna Pooja, and Sarva Prayaschitha Poorvaka Ashlesha Bali. After the rituals, devotees were served theertha prasadam and anna prasadam.

The morning rituals were followed by a formal programme, graced by the blessings of Sri Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Sri Krishnapura Math. In his address, Swamiji said, “Jnana Sudha has been imparting knowledge to students and moulding them into assets for the nation. Jnana Sudha, established at the Nagabhana Campus of Krishnapura Math, has now renovated another Nagabhana, securing the blessings of Nagabrahma. With the serpent god’s blessings, the institution is flourishing. Just as our shadow follows and reflects us, divine blessings guide our lives. Our bodies are not entirely within our control; sometimes, even our own teeth bite our tongue. Service done to others is service rendered to God. Working in the field of knowledge is the greatest service. The serpent god, also known as Subramanya, symbolises completeness — thus, the serpent god is complete divinity.”

Dr Sudhakar Shetty, president of Ajekar Padmagopal Educational Trust, welcomed the gathering. In his introductory remarks, he said, “The college was handed over to us by Swamiji for educational purposes in 2021. Last year, 37 students from this small institution secured MBBS seats. With the blessings of the deity and the initiative of Swamiji, we are working towards saving lives. Sri Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji has shown us that simplicity is the path to greatness.”

The evening event featured Bhakti Ghana vaibhava by Yogish Kini and team. The Kalpoktha Pooja was performed by Krishnaprasad Vaidya Mudduru and Balakrishna vaidya. Nataraj Vaidya and team and Vedamoorthi Narayan Bhat Renjala, along with Nagapatri performed the Nagamandalotsava. After the Nagamadalotsava the devotees were served with anna prasadam.
