Mangaluru, Apr 5: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, along with deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan, inspected the construction progress of the new deputy commissioner's (DC) office at Padil on Saturday April 5.
Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao stated, "The construction of the new DC office at Padil is in its final phase. We have requested the availability of chief minister Siddaramaiah, as we expect the project to be completed by April 20. The inauguration of the new DC office, along with the indoor stadium and Praja Soudha in Moodbidri, will be scheduled based on the chief minister’s availability. Chief minister Siddaramaiah himself laid the foundation stone, and we are delighted that he will be inaugurating the new DC office. We have planned to hold the inauguration in April."


He further added, "The new building will offer excellent facilities to the public. Once inaugurated, around 35 departments, including the sub-registrar's office, social welfare, child welfare, mines department, and record rooms, will be promptly shifted to the new premises. Additionally, a new building will be constructed for the health department."
MLC Manjunath Bhandary, Congress leader Padmaraj, and other dignitaries were also present during the inspection.
