Bishop of Mangalore diocese visits Holy Redeemer English Medium School, encourages students

Mangaluru, Mar 9: Bishop of Mangalore diocese and the president of the Catholic Board of Education visited Holy Redeemer English Medium School on March 8. His excellency was grandly welcomed by the school band led by Ashel D'Souza and Manvi. Teaching and non-teaching staff along with the class 10 students welcomed the bishop with a graceful gesture.

The programme began with a prayer song adding a divine essence. The guests were elegantly welcomed by a welcome dance.

Correspondent Fr Walter Oswald DMello, headmaster Fr Clifford Simon Pinto, secretary of bishop Fr Thrishan D'Souza, parish pastoral council vice president Walter Monis, secretary Gilbert Pinto, parish pastoral commissions coordinator Pauline Rego and PTA vice president Ramesh were the guests of honour.

Assistant headmistress Blendin Rodrigues welcome the gathering whole-heartedly.

School secretary Preetha D'Souza audaciously presented a report on the functioning, activities and achievements of the school. Headmaster briefly introduced the Bishop and was felicitated by the school. In his message, bishop advised the students to follow 3 'R's, Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.

Correspondent wished the students well for their upcoming exams. Mary Suja devotely presented the words of gratitude. The programme concluded by singing the school anthem. Renita Lasrado compered the programme beautifully.

Later bishop, the president of the Catholic Board of Education interacted with the staff, gave them some suggestions and advises, and wished the school to continue its legacy.
