Vadodara, Mar 7: In a major crackdown on illegal liquor smuggling, authorities in Vadodara seized foreign liquor worth Rs 65 lac and arrested two individuals involved in the illicit trade. The action was carried out as part of an ongoing drive to curb liquor smuggling in Gujarat, a state where alcohol prohibition is in place.
According to officials, the contraband was being transported discreetly when law enforcement agencies intercepted the consignment based on a tip-off. The seized liquor, sourced from outside India, was allegedly intended for illegal distribution within the state.

Police have taken both accused into custody and initiated further investigation to trace the larger network involved in the smuggling operation. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on such activities and ensuring strict enforcement of prohibition laws.
