Bengaluru, Feb 16: Former minister, MP, and BJP leader L R Shivarame Gowda, along with his son Chetan Gowda and AAP leader Brijesh Kalappa, rejoined the Congress party on Sunday, February 16. The event took place at the Congress office in Bengaluru, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC president D K Shivakumar.
The leaders were accompanied by their supporters from both the BJP and AAP. Shivarame Gowda, a prominent figure from Mandya district, and Brijesh Kalappa, who hails from Kodagu district, officially returned to the Congress fold.

Although Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was unable to attend due to a knee problem, KPCC working president and Rajya Sabha member Dr G C Chandrashekar, along with other Congress leaders, were present to welcome the new members back into the party.
