Sharjah, Jan 11: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah (KSS) one of the prestigious Kannada Association working under the umbrella of Indian Association Sharjah, yesterday unanimously elected veteran Sathish Poojary as its President for the year 2012.
Sathish Poojary is one of the founder Members of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah and served as General secretary during the year 2005 - 2006. He is also one of the Founder member as well as advisor for a well known organization Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates and Nama Tuluveru UAE.
In a meeting held recently at Fortune Plaza Hotel, Gussais, the committee members of KSS gathered to elect the new managing committee for the year 2012. The meeting commenced at 8.30 PM with prayer followed by formal welcome by the Patron Mark Denis D’souza. Outgoing General Secretary Sugandhraj Bekal proposed the Agenda of the day and conducted election of the office bearers for the year 2012:-

Sugandhraj Bekal : Welfare Secretary

Newly elected president Sathish Poojary extended his hearty thanks to all the committee members and requested full fledged support of members to work together to strengthen the association. The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by General Secretary Raju Bhandary.
Karnataka Sangha Sharjah is one of premier Kannada Association working under the auspicious of the Indian Association Sharjah, came to existence in the year 2002 with an objective to promote Kannada Culture as well as helping the community people.
KSS has planned following programs for its Decennial Celebration:

2. 10th anniversary with Mayoora Award ceremony
3. Rajyotsava Celebration
4. Mayoora Cup Tournament.
