Saud Kutam Bahrain celebrates parish feast of Shirva with grandeur

Bahrain, Feb 5: The vibrant community of Shirva parishioners in Bahrain came together to celebrate the parish feast of Shirva at the Khadija Banquet Hall, Juffair on Thursday January 30, organized by Saud Kutam Bahrain.

The event was a nostalgic and heartwarming gathering that brought together faith, culture, and fellowship. The evening commenced with a warm welcome by the MC, Adeline Monis, who set the tone for the celebration by reminiscing about the cherished traditions of the feast back home. The event officially began with a Rosary led by Jacintha Barboza accompanied by devoted members.

The organizing committee, under whose leadership the event was meticulously planned, was introduced to the attendees. This dedicated team included Rony Pinto, Jeevan Martis, Manesh Menezes, Santosh Danthi and Wilfred Saldanha. Rony Pinto then extended a heartfelt welcome to all, followed by a felicitation ceremony where the event’s esteemed sponsors Jacintha Benedict Barboza & family, Antony Dias & family, Paul Quadras & family and Steevan D’Souza & family were honored by Santosh Danthi. The vote of thanks was delivered by Manesh Menezes, expressing gratitude to all contributors and attendees.

A special moment of the evening was the celebration of birthdays and anniversaries of members born in January. The joyous occasion was marked with the cake sponsored by Lawrence Sequeira and Patrick Quadras, and was shared among the gathering as a gesture of unity and joy.

Adding to the festive spirit, young talents Sharlene Sequeira and Warren Aranha captivated the audience with their energetic dance performances. The evening was further enriched with melodious solo renditions by Wilfred Saldanha, Vivian, and the talented young singers Raizel Menezes and a duet by Riva Pinto & Ronal Pinto.

The key highlight of the event was the series of engaging and entertaining games conducted by the MC, Adeline Monis. These included a variety of fun activities for both children and adults, featuring dance, songs, group games, and exciting spot prizes. Rony Pinto added a traditional touch to the games with quiz related to the heritage and history of Shirva parish.

The celebrations concluded with a sumptuous dinner organized by Jacintha Barboza, bringing the community together over a delightful feast.
