M'luru: ‘Vishwa Guru - AI for All’ vision of India Faculty Development Program at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Jan 23: Milagres College, in collaboration with its IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), successfully organized a one-day faculty development workshop titled “Vishwa Guru - AI for All” on Thursday, January 23. The workshop aimed to equip educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively integrate artificial intelligence technologies into the teaching and learning process.

The workshop featured distinguished chief speakers, including Leo Victor Zalkie, an Oracle and Google-certified AI professional, and Fr Anil Ivan Fernandes, a Google-certified AI coach and media professional. They conducted insightful sessions on the potential applications of AI in education, sharing valuable strategies on how AI can enhance teaching methodologies, improve learning outcomes, and enable personalized education for students.

The event was inaugurated by Dr Michael Santhumayor, the principal of Milagres College, who delivered the inaugural address. In his speech, he emphasized the growing importance of incorporating modern technological tools into education. He remarked, “In today’s fast-evolving era, it is imperative for us as educators to keep pace with technological advancements to provide quality education and shape the future of our students. Through programs like these, Milagres Educational Institution strives to enhance the skills of educators and ensure that they are well-equipped for the challenges of modern education.”

The program was also attended by Chetana Kumari, the IQAC coordinator; Athira, staff welfare officer; and Ronitha M Crasta, AICTE coordinator. The event was compered by Denzil Pinto, a faculty member, who skilfully guided the sessions and ensured the smooth flow of the program.
