Saif Ali Khan attacked at Bandra home, CINTAA chief Poonam Dhillon condemns

Mumbai, Jan 20: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence in the wee hours of Thursday. The actor sustained six stab wounds, two of which are critical as they are near his spine.

The incident occurred around 2:15 am when the burglar barged into the residence, assaulting the house help. Saif intervened upon hearing the commotion in his son Jeh's room and fought off the intruder with bare hands to save the house help.

Actress Poonam Dhillon, who is also the president of CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes' Association), strongly condemned the attack. Taking to Instagram, she shared a heartfelt note, calling for improved security measures for the artist community.

"The brutal attack by an intruder on Saif Ali Khan at his residence has sent shock waves across society, especially among the actor community. I urge everyone to be cautious when allowing workers into their homes and ensure proper identification, like Aadhaar and photographs, before granting entry," she wrote.

Poonam also revealed that she had experienced theft at her own residence, emphasizing the importance of vigilance. She added, "As CINTAA president, I condemn such horrific acts and stand by Saif during this difficult time. We trust our police force will nab the culprit soon. Wishing Saif a speedy recovery."

The intruder managed to escape after the incident, and authorities are actively investigating the case. Fans and the film fraternity have poured in their support and well-wishes for the actor’s recovery.
