Kundapur, Dec 18: Leopard sightings near residential homes in Hombadi-Mandadi and Halladi-Harkadi villages have sent shockwaves through local communities. CCTV footage captures leopards circling doors at night, leaving residents terrified and too fearful to venture outside after dark.

On Tuesday night, a leopard was spotted near the front door of Ramadasa Bhandari’s house in Karinakatte, located within the Molahalli forest range. The chilling moment was recorded on CCTV.

Early Wednesday, reports emerged of more leopard sightings near Garikemath and Sirimath in the same region. With the predators frequently approaching homes in search of food, villagers are growing increasingly anxious.

In response, villagers have urged forest department authorities to act quickly.

Forest officials from the Molahalli range have already visited the area and have set up traps in an effort to capture the leopards and restore safety of the villagers.

Whats the use of catching and leaving them in other Part? They will return in short time back in search of food.Their population has increased immense.Govt should take them to other parts where they can find wild animals(If any)as food(mostly man has all the resources iradicated by shooting in Ghats etc.)
