Mother-in-law, daughter-in-law drill borewell using Gruha Lakshmi scheme funds in Gadag dist

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Dec 15: A woman and her daughter-in-law have utilised the funds from the Gruha Lakshmi scheme to drill a borewell for their agricultural land.

Mabubi and her daughter-in-law Roshan Begum, residents of Maladara Oni in Gajendragada town of Gadag, are the women who made good use of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme money.

Mabubi said, “We accumulated Rs 44,000 through the Gruha Lakshmi funds deposited into our bank account. My son invested an additional Rs 10,000, and together, we got a borewell drilled for our agricultural land. This was possible only because of CM Siddaramaiah’s visionary guarantee.”

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah shared a video of Mabubi’s statement on his X account, expressing his happiness upon hearing how the Gruha Lakshmi scheme has brought joy and life to many families in Karnataka.

Siddaramaiah further posted, “I was extremely happy to hear the words of Mabubi and her daughter-in-law about using the Gruha Lakshmi scheme money to drill a borewell. I feel content as the guarantee schemes are strengthening families financially and making them independent. Those who claimed that the Gruha Lakshmi scheme would create rifts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law will now eat their words. There are thousands of success stories like this that have not yet come to light. There is no doubt that the Gruha Lakshmi scheme has turned into a Bhagyalakshmi for countless mothers in Karnataka.”
