Kasargod, Dec 1: Muna Shamsuddin, originally from Kasargod, has been appointed as the assistant personal secretary to King Charles in London.

Muna is the daughter of the late Shamsuddin and Saidunnisa, a couple from Talangere Teruvat Hasheem Street, Pudiyapurayil. She pursued her education in London and began her career with the British legal advisory office. Her exceptional work led to her appointment as chief assistant secretary to the King while working in the London foreign Commonwealth development section.

Muna holds a degree in mathematical engineering from the University of Nottingham, Britain. She has also served in the external affairs ministry of Britain, working as Britain’s consul general in Jerusalem and heading the external affairs department in Karachi, Pakistan.

Her husband, David, is employed with UNESCO. Muna had visited Kasargod 10 years ago.

As the lady is born and brought up in LOndon she might be fit to work in an extremely free and democratical environment of Buckingham palace..otherwise these people create nuisance everywhere in the world..secondly she has married a Christian so she will naturally enjoy the freedom...which is just absent in countries where this cult is dominating

But people from your country still want to work and live in the ‘ cult’ dominating countries. Can you please ask your countrymen to return from those ‘ cult’ dominated countries?

She is my first cousin. She is in British Foreign Service (IFS in India who are the top rank holders in IAS examinations). Ours is a very accomplished and very highly educated family. She is writer late Sara Aboobacker( my mother)' s neice. Her father was a world famous surgeon who had amputated the leg of a British actor Martyn Green in New York in 1959 with the help of a policeman's pen knife and saved his life. His leg was stuck in a lift. Later on he completed FRCS in Edinburgh in 1966. It was a world news then. Our grandfather late P. Ahmad was a very learned and extremely famous lawyer in Kasaragod. Ou youngest uncle Captain Mohammed Hashim volunteered to go to the front and fight and was martyred in action in the 1965 war with enemy Pakistan. My another first cousin Nagma Mallick (IFS) is Indian ambassador to Poland.
