Kaup: Bike rider killed in collision with tanker

Kaup, Nov 4: A bike rider lost his life when his two-wheeler was hit by a tanker near the Koppalangady bus stand on NH 66 on Saturday night.

The deceased, identified as Harish Kumar (45), a resident of Koppalangady and a tailor by profession, was struck from behind by a tanker traveling from Mangaluru to Udupi.

Harish sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital by locals, but he was declared dead on arrival.

A case has been registered against Gedigeyappa Kote from Uttara Kannada, the driver of the tanker.
