Kaup: Tanker collision triggers serial accident at Katapadi junction, no injuries reported

Kaup, Oct 18: A tanker, experiencing a technical malfunction, collided with a car and a scooter at Katapadi junction on NH 66 on Thursday October 17.

The tanker, traveling from Mangaluru to Udupi, struck the car and scooter from behind after developing a mechanical issue. It then proceeded to crash into a police outpost. All three vehicles were damaged, along with a CCTV camera installed at the junction. Fortunately, all passengers, the driver, and the rider escaped uninjured.

Traffic was briefly disrupted on the highway before Kaup and Katapadi outpost police arrived at the scene and cleared the way for smooth movement of vehicles.
