Shivamogga, Oct 3: In accordance with the guidelines set forth by Charis National Service of Communion (CNSC), Charis Diocesan Service of Communion (CDSC) of the Diocese of Shimoga successfully organized the National Day of Intercession on Wednesday, October 2. The event was held at St Joseph's Church, Sagara, Shivamogga.
CDSC members, including Davidraj, Francis D'Mello, John Lobo, Francis Lopis, Elvira Fernandes, and Mary Louis, played a pivotal role in leading the intercession, under the spiritual guidance of Fr Franklin D'Souza, the spiritual director of the CDSC. Additionally, prayer group members from St Joseph's Church, Sagara, provided valuable assistance during the Intercession. The Blessed Sacrament was exposed.
Intercessions for the country, church, youth, charis, and pro-life were specially prayed for.
Monsignor Felix Joseph Noronha, expressing his gratitude, welcomed the members and acknowledged their efforts in effectively conducting the National Day of Intercession within his parish.
A substantial number of devoted individuals gathered to offer prayers for the well-being of the nation. The Intercession focused on the theme "My Grace is sufficient for you." (2 Cor 12:9).
The intercession concluded with the Holy Eucharist. Fr Franklin D'Souza celebrated the Holy Eucharist together with Msgr Felix Joseph Noronha and Fr Vinuth Balu Kumar, assistant parish priest of St Joseph's Church, Sagar.
