Mangaluru: Three families evacuated from Ullal's Hale Kote due to landslide

Mangaluru, Sep 24: Heavy rainfall over the past two days has caused a landslide in the Ullal City Municipality area at Hale Kote, where soil has collapsed onto the compound wall of a house.

Two houses are now at risk of further collapse with imminaent fears of a landslide.

As a precautionary measure, three families have been evacuated from the area and have moved to the homes of relatives. Ullal Municipality officials visited the site and deployed a JCB to clear the debris. A video of the soil removal process has gone viral.

There have been no casualties reported from the incident, according to municipal commissioner.

    My God looks very risky.Here it shows how the basis of house is .Riskant.By removing the soil it is more riskant.Instead should have given bit support to walls.Hope remains stabile.
