Margao,Nov 21: 'Swatantra Goa' patriotic album, which consist five Konkani and three Marathi songs produced by Buyao Theatres Goem was released at the hands of Vijai Sardesai general secretary of Goa pradesh Congress committee on Sunday November 21.The function was held in Black box of Ravindra Bhavan here.
Sardesai in his address complemented Buyao Theatre Goem for producing the beautiful patriotic CD at the time when Goa is celebrating 50 years of its liberation.
He further said that music has played vital role in people's life and hence album, which is full of patriotism, should reach to every educational institutes of Goa.
Sardesai praised Sidhanath Buyao who has conceptualized the album saying he is a musician who thinks and works out of the box. He always tries to give something unique to the listeners, one needs courage to produce music projects he has it.
Sardesai lamented by saying that outsiders come in Goa and avail government schemes, he also urged Goan youths to take government schemes available in various departments.
Video of songs and special supplement on Sidhanath Buyao by daily Pudhari was released at the hands president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal Prashant Naik, who admired the efforts of Sidhanath Buyao and said that Buyao knows the nerve of listeners and he gives music the way people like it.
Director of Information and Publicity Department Menino Peres in his address assured that government will try its best to deliver the album to educational institutes, Panchayats and libraries of Goa.
SidhanathBuyao in his address said that Patriotism should be in the heart of every citizen and future generations should know how our martyrs fought for independence and the can be done through the medium of music and literature, that is why the album was produced.
Lyricist John Aguir, Sanjay Borkar, also Dilip Prabhudesai, Saish Panandikar, Sagun Gawade were felicitated for their contribution.
The album consists of songs penned by lyricist Ramdas Prabhu, late Manoharrai Sardesai and Goemshahir Ulhas Buyao, John Aguiar and Sanjay Borkar. Noted percussionists, violinists from Bollywood and saregama fame have played live instruments for the album to give good sound. Noted Bollywood playback singers Swapnil Bandodkar, Nephie Rod and Sidhanath Buyao sang for the album.
