Beltangady, Sep 4: With a view to provide medical care to a large section of society, Fr L M Pinto Hospital Badyar has introduced health card and health checkup schemes. Health card provides concessions on health care facilities available in the hospital.
Fr L M Pinto health card offers 10% to 25% concession on all the OPD services, IPD services in general ward, semi and private rooms, on doctors and nursing services, operation theatre charges, post operative charges, critical care areas and also on medicines.
Fr L M Pinto health checkup schemes comprise of general health checkup, women health checkup, child health checkup, and senior citizen health check up schemes, at affordable prices.
These facilities were inaugurated on Sunday, September 1 in the hospital OPD block. Fr Maxim Rosario, estate manager, Diocese of Mangalore inaugurated health card scheme. In his speech, Fr Maxim highlighted the importance of quality healthcare at affordable cost. The vision and mission of the hospital has been to cater to the needs of rural and poor patients.
Fr Vincent D’Souza, secretary, CODP, Diocese of Mangalore unveiled Fr L M Pinto health checkup schemes. In his presidential address, he recalled the vision of the founder Fr L M Pinto and appreciated the dedicated services of Bethany sisters. He also praised the hospital staff for their motivated services.
Fr Roshan Crasta, administrator of the hospital and parish priest of Badyar church, welcomed the gathering. Sr Jyothsna B S proposed a vote of thanks. Hospital staff invoked God’s presence through a prayer song. Leena Crasta conducted the programme. Over 400 people availed health card registration.
Health card benefits will be applicable to those getting admitted/treated at Fr L M Pinto hospital only. For individual card, the annual membership cost is Rs 100. For family health card, the cost is Rs 100 for primary card holder and additional Rs 50 for each member for 1 year.
