Riyadh, Nov 6 (Emirates 24 x 7): Drivers stopped at a security checkpoint on a key road in Saudi Arabia were surprised to find that the detectives were very young and drunk.
The teenagers who suddenly decided to set up the checkpoint in the northeastern town of Hafr Al Batin were examining ID papers by the drivers but did not hold any one.
While the drivers were surprised by the unusual security point, most of them simply did not bother went on their way.
“But one driver phoned the police and told them about the fake checkpoints. Police rushed to the area and seized the teenagers, who were all below 18 years and were drunk,” Alriyadh newspaper said.
