Udupi, Jul 15: An elderly man took his own life by jumping into a deep well at Kolambe, Nitoor, on July 15.
The deceased has been identified as Lingappa Bangera (76).
Lingappa, who had been suffering from health issues, succumbed to despair and jumped into a 60-foot deep well with 40 feet of water.
Lingappa, survived by his two sons, had been enduring significant health challenges, which ultimately led to this drastic decision.
Upon discovering the incident, Eshwar Malpe retrieved the body from the well.
