Udupi: Advani Lashes Out at UPA, Seeks Blessings at Sri Krishna Mutt

Udupi, Oct 31: The Jan Chetna Yatra undertaken by senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani reached Rajangan ground, Sri Krishna Mutt, here at around 4.15 pm on Monday October 31 from Mangalore.
Addressing a gathering of about 15,000, Advani spoke about the corruption in the union government led by the UPA.
He reiterated his stand on the issue of black money and said that in the winter session of the parliament, the BJP would demand an explanation from the UPA on how it plans to bring back the black money. He added that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had failed in his promise to take action in this regard made in 2009 elections.
Lashing out at the UPA further, he said the government was shielding its own people who were involved in hoarding black money and engaging in corruption.
He repeated some of his statements made earlier in the day in Mangalore, especially regarding UPA being the most corrupt government he has ever seen.
He also spoke of the motto behind his Yatra - to eradicate corruption, to create a new India, and bring back black money.
Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, BJP spokesperson Ravishankar Prasad, MP Anant Kumar, BJP state president Eshwarappa, MLA C T Ravi, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs Lalaji R Mendon, Raghupati Bhat and Halady Srinivas Shetty, MLCs Kota Srinivas Poojary and Captain Ganesh Karnic, BJP district president Uday Kumar Shetty, presidents of ZP and TP, local BJP leaders and others were present.
Advani later paid obeisance to Lord Krishna at the Mutt. He was given a hearty welcome by Swami Vishveshateerta and Swami Laxmivarateerta.
The Yatra continued its onward journey to Murdeshwar in Uttara Kannada district.
Advani will address a public meeting scheduled to be held at Kumta and Karwar in Uttar Kannada on Tuesday November 1.
