Beltangady: Body of drowned youth recovered by Ujire-Belalu Shourya unit

Beltangady, Jun 19: Volunteers from the Ujire-Belalu Shourya unit successfully recovered the body of Sagar (19), originally from Madhya Pradesh, who had drowned while bathing in the Amba Teertha River in Kalasa.

Responding to a call received through Eshwar Malpe, the team, led by Capt Santosh, initiated a search operation. Representatives from the unit, including Ravindra, Capt Santosh, Sandesh, and Sudheer, arrived at the scene and worked from morning until noon on Tuesday to retrieve the body.

The efforts were supported by the Kalasa project officer from the village development project and the Kalasa Shourya team, who provided additional assistance in the recovery operation.
