Mangaluru, June 1: Dr. Nareshchand Hegde, MLC candidate for the south-west teachers’ constituency, paid a visit to the residence of animal lover Rajani Shetty on Saturday, June 1, where he handed over 250 reflective dog collars.
During his visit, Dr. Nareshchand Hegde interacted with Rajani Shetty and was deeply impressed by her selfless service.
Rajani Shetty expressed her gratitude, saying, "I thank Dr. Nareshchand Hegde for distributing 250 reflective collars for dogs, which is a pressing need. Dogs are often victims of accidents, especially during the rainy season. These reflective collars will definitely help save their lives. I urge everyone to support Dr. Nareshchand Hegde and ensure his victory in the upcoming elections."
Dr Nareshchand Hegde remarked, "I am awestruck by the selfless service of Rajani Shetty, who takes care of more than 60 dogs in her residence and feeds more than 700 dogs daily. I urge veterinarians to offer free consultations for treating dogs and support Rajani Shetty in any way possible."
He added, "Many of the dogs in her residence are accident victims who have been rescued, treated, and nurtured by Rajani Shetty. Today, we have distributed 250 reflective collars for dogs, which will help prevent accidents and save lives. I assure complete support for Rajani Shetty in the future as well."
