Bangalore: Yeddyurappa Escapes Jail Again, Shifted to Victoria Hospital

Bangalore, Oct 18: Though it was expected that former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa would be back to Parappana Agrahara jail after being discharged from Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology on Tuesday October 18, he has instead been shifted to state-run Victoria hospital from Jayadeva.
DIG (Prisons) Lakshmi Narayan told reporters on Tuesday that Yeddyurappa had been shifted to another hospital.
Jayadeva Hospital director C N Manjunath said that Yeddyurappa had high salt level in his blood and also suffered from depression. Hence the doctors advised the jail authorities to shift him to Victoria hospital.
Yeddyurappa was arrested after he surrendered on October 15 on charges of corruption in two illegal land denotification cases.
The high court on Tuesday adjourned his bail plea to October 20.
He has been remanded in judicial custody till October 22.
