Dubai, May 13: The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated and first-ever inter-parish underarm cricket tournament on June 1, at Dubai Scout Mission ground, Abu Hail, Dubai, UAE.
Leading from the front, Viking Warriors Hospet Cricketers, under the patronage of Planet Air, a renowned global travel agency based in Dubai, are all set to re-unite Catholic parishioners of Mangalore and Udupi diocese with an overnight league tournament commencing at 8 pm.
A total of 32 parishes have successfully enrolled their participation by adhering to the guidelines put forth by the organizers. Each team, consisting of a total of 12 players, will compete for the Planet Air Trophy 2024. Ultimately, one successful team will bring pride to their parish by being crowned champion, whereas the losing finalist will lay hands on
the runners-up trophy.
Individual awards are up for grabs for the best player of each individual game, as well as the best batsman, best bowler, and best player of the tournament. Participating teams are as follows:

The organising core committee has thanked all the priests for extending their support with the verification of players from their respective parishes.
The members, comprising Vishal Mendonsa Donald Noronha, Wilson Cutinho, Jithesh Rodrigues, Deril D'Souza, and Joshwa D'Souza, have requested all the underarm cricket lovers from Mangalore and Udupi dioceses to be present in huge numbers and cheer their respective teams, transforming the tournament into a grand success.
