Udupi: Country doctor Handadi Govinda Poojary passes away at 82

Udupi, May 3: Handadi Govinda Poojary (82), a veteran country doctor and farmer residing at Handadi passed away at his residence on Friday, May 3, after illness.

He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.

Govinda Poojary was giving medicine to cure women’s illnesses. He was also giving country medicine for treatment of various ailments of cattle.

He had conducted experiments in farming and was a guide to other farmers. He was also guiding force in arriving at compromises during disputes.
