Bengaluru, April 15: Candidates of all the political parties have started campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections. Allegations and counter allegations can also be heard among the candidates. There were incidents of assault among members of same parties. A similar incident happened in Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency and its video has gone viral.
A meeting of depositors of Guru Raghavendra Cooperative Bank, who lost their deposits due to the bank scam was called on April 13 in view of the Lok Sabha elections. BJP MP Tejaswi Surya took part in it. However, he allegedly escaped from the meeting as he was unable to answer the questions raised by the depositors. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Bank depositors expressed anguish against Tejaswsi Surya in the meeting called by him. Some slogans were also raised against him in the meeting. Police personnel who were at the spot had a hard time intervening and in controlling the situation.
Karnataka Congress has in a tweet, stated that Tejaswi Surya had escaped from people through the exit door once again.
“The Bengaluru South MP had spent time for the last five years, eating dosas, playing football and enjoying all the time. People were anguished as Tejaswi Surya had not listened to the grievances of the depositors of Guru Raghavendra Cooperative Bank even once. The assaults and insults heaped on voters by Tejaswi Surya have crossed the limit. The time to teach him a lesson by the voters has come. BJP candidates are facing 'go back' slogans everywhere. BJP will fly away in their anguish,” states a post on 'X'.
