Sullia, Mar 28: An unidentified woman was reportedly spotted multiple times in the Koojimale estate area on Wednesday, prompting a search amid suspicions that she may be affiliated with Naxalites.
A staff member patrolling the Koojimale estate observed a woman wandering in the rubber plantation area of the farm and promptly alerted the Anti-Naxal Force (ANF) officials. Despite the swift response from the ANF, the woman was not located. It is believed that she entered the forest from the rubber plantation.
The ANF team continues their search efforts in the Ainekidu and Koojimale estate areas. Sources within the ANF have indicated that Naxalites previously found in Ainekidu and Koojimale are still believed to be camping on the outskirts of the Pushpagiri forest sanctuary. Their extensive knowledge of forest routes enables them to evade detection by the ANF search teams.
An ANF official stated that conducting operations at night is challenging due to the dense forest terrain, making it difficult to track movement effectively.
