Mangaluru, Mar 20: Sangeet Bharati Foundation is thrilled to announce its upcoming event, a celebration of music and empowerment titled ‘Stree Shakti.’ Set to take place on Sunday, March 24 at 5.30 pm, the event will showcase a captivating classical vocal recital and a mesmerizing Sitar-Santoor Jugalbandi performance at Ravindra Kala Bhavan, University College, Hampanakatta, Mangaluru.
This unique programme, centered around the theme of women power, promises to be a remarkable experience for music aficionados. Admission is free, offering attendees the chance to immerse themselves in the enchanting melodies of Hindustani classical music.
The evening will feature two main segments. First, rising classical vocalist Srilakshmi Belmannu of Bengaluru will grace the stage, accompanied by the talented Neeta Beleyur of Bengaluru on harmonium and Vighnesh Kamath of Kundapura on tabla. Following this, the audience will be treated to a captivating Sitar-Santoor Jugalbandi by the exceptionally skilled sisters, Sanskrati Wahane and Prakrati Wahane, hailing from Madhya Pradesh. Joining them on tabla will be young artist Hemant Joshi of Hubballi.
Inaugurating the event will be ACP-CCB Geetha D Kulkarni of the Mangaluru city police, symbolizing and celebrating the spirit of 'Stree Shakti' or Women Power.
